The Responsive Relationship Video Series

The Responsive Relationship Video Series contains 30 teaching videos with over 12 hours of engaging, informative, and practical content that can be used as curriculum by individuals, couples, and church groups; or as tools for provoking positive change by pastors and lay persons who counsel or coach individuals and couples with relationship challenges. Below is a listing of the videos within the Responsive Relationship Video Series along with the concepts in the Responsive Relationship Handbook that are covered by each video:

For 2 Become 1 groups and individuals, the 30 teaching videos are best viewed in a weekly format. Discussion Starter Questions are provided for each video to facilitate group discussion and allow individuals and couples to reflect on and apply the concepts throughout the week before the next video is viewed. This can be done over 30 sequential weeks with some intermittent breaks for holidays, vacations, or other special events, thereby providing a year-long program; or the series can be broken up into a semester or trimester format.

In the semester format, referenced in the 3rd column of the table above labeled “2,” fifteen (15) videos are viewed each semester. In the trimester format, referenced in the 4th column of the table above labeled “3,” ten (10) videos are viewed each trimester. In order to ensure that the 4 DISC temperaments are covered in the first trimester when the trimester format is being followed, the “Attachment Tendencies” and “Progressive Growth Phases” videos are moved to the last trimester.

The 30 teaching videos are arranged to address five (5) objectives listed in the table above in the column labeled “WRTA Objective.” In addition, each video is designed to achieve specific learning goals which are outlined in the Responsive Relationship Video Series Learning Goals document.

Although the concepts contained in the videos tend to build on each other, thereby creating a series to be viewed sequentially, the videos can also be used in a modular fashion, allowing one video, or a subset of videos, to be viewed independently when focus and attention is needed on one, or a few, relationship improvement concepts. We call these video subsets "packages." Click HERE for more details.
